A SPOT OF HISTORY: When Fayoum's leading grandee Hamdi Seif el Nasr Pasha commissioned architect Hassan Fathi to design him a country cottage in Fayoum's Abou Ne'ama lakeside district, little did he know that a half century later it would become a national architectural landmark.
